Overview

Join us for a circular history walk starting from COSGROVE, South Northants into the northern edge of Milton Keynes and return. Approximately 7 miles the walk will visit the Floodplain Forest Nature Reserve at Old Wolverton; Wolverton Secret Garden, wall mural and velodrome showing the town's connection with the London to Birmingham railway and coachworks;  Old Wolverton church and earthworks of medieval village; impressive aquaduct carrying the Grand Union canal over the Great River Ouse and disused locks that the aquaduct replaced.

Easy terrain mostly on hard surfaced paths, a few short road sections and canal towpath.

No stiles. Three short flights of steps.

Bring your binoculars for the nature reserve. Wading birds and Konic ponies.

Dogs welcome on leads.
