Overview

Assistance dogs only.  From the parking area walk on a bridleway heading west for 1.6 miles (GR NZ627077). Here turn south on a footpath descending into Baysdale. At the bottom of the descent cross a bridge and go through a gate. From the gate follow a bridleway south east to another gate with a waymarker on  it - following the way indicated by the marker head south east past Thorntree House and climb steeply through forestry to a gate leading on to Great Hograh Moor. Here turn north east, south east then east to Great Hograh Beck (we will take a break here). From the beck walk east across the moor to join the John Breckon Road. Head south then north north east past Stocking House to Crown House. From Crown House walk south east and east across fields and a cricket pitch to a metalled road - follow the road generally north west back to the parking area (involves 2 climbs).
