This is an easy, level walk from Holyport village green. It will take us away from the hum of the motorway, through tranquil countryside, ranging from lush meadows to trim polo grounds. Expect to see curious horses as we pass through their pastures along the way.
This walk can be muddy after wet weather.
We will be stopping for a 'banana break' at roughly half way, and lunch will be booked at The George on the Green at Holyport for anyone wishing to take part.
Meet on Holyport Street, outside the George on the Green, Holyport. If you intend to stay for lunch then you may park in the pub car park. If not, there is parking on The Green outside Holyport Lodge Nursing Home, (now disused) opposite the pub. Turn into The Green from Ascot Road and exit via Holyport Road or Street. The No 52 bus runs from Frascati Way and the railway station in Maidenhead to Stroud Farm Shops, a 5 minute walk from our start point.
