Starting at 400 m near the site of the Ponderosa Cafe at the head of the Horshow Pass this walk soon arrives at its highest point (565 m) before gradually dropping down across the open moorland (on a clear path & lane) to World's End. Offa's Dyke path is picked up through trees beneath the Eglwyseg escarpment, following a good path (though narrow) contouring the open hillside. The return leg gradually ascends from the Eglwyseg river, past Gribin Wood, into open moorland once again, to the top of the Horseshoe pass. Grade: moderately difficult due to the amount of ascent/descent (about 1650 feet).
All are welcome, but no dogs on the walk, please (except registered assistance dogs by arrangement).
