A circular walk, largely on the flat, starting from Horton Country Park Car Park and exploring the nearby Epsom and Ashtead Commons. The clockwise walk will take us past the epsom well, the back of Ashtead village (near the railway station) towards the malden rushet road before heading back past rushet farm for a coffee stop. Then on to the stew ponds and back to Horton.
There are toilets at the Horton car park. There will be a stop for a coffee break. The walk is on common tracks and across a field, some of which can be muddy if wet. One busy road to cross but there is a pedestrian crossing.
Refreshments - please bring a drink/coffee and a snack. There is also a coffee kiosk at Rushet farm and a mobile coffee kiosk at Horton.
Dogs - some areas of the commons require dogs to be on leads.
