We are the Bolton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A linear walk with a stop for lunch. A level walk through Rivington and along the Leeds Liverpool Canal
Lunch at the Yarrow Bridge P.H. (no need to book) before joining the canal for the second half of the walk. For those that enjoy real ale there will also be the opportunity to visit some of the pubs in Chorley after the walk.
The walk finishes in Chorley but there are good bus and train connections from Chorley for you to make your way back to Horwich, Bolton or Preston areas.
NO NOT park in The Crown car park, it is a camera controlled car park for customers only, use side streets or car parks in the town. Regular bus service (125) from Bolton stops adjacent The Crown, also 575.
