We are the Huntingdonshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A circular walk around Huntingdon that takes in the riverside, park and connects the 'green bits' never more than a mile from the centre of town. If anyone wants to join for part of the walk Andy can estimate the time we would be passing a specific point.
Meet in the Riverside car park - parking free on a Sunday
We start our walks at 10.00am unless stated. Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand if you can. The duration of a walk includes time for drink and lunch breaks. Please ensure that you bring sufficient water, drinks and food (picnic lunch) to sustain you during the walks. Walk leaders will explain stops for drinks and lunch at the start of a walk.
Do consider the length of a walk, the weather and likely ground conditions to ensure you are fit enough and have appropriate footwear and clothing. If in doubt, contact the walk leader for advice.
Leaders make every effort to ensure your safety, but we expect members and guests to take care to minimise the risk of accidents.
All “Registered Assistance Dogs” are welcome on the walks with their owner. Please contact the walk leader.
