A springtime walk from Paxton Pit’s Visitor Centre, heading past the quarry and exploring some of the new trails around Diddington, before returning along the Ouse Valley Way. Keen birders might want to bring binoculars as we shall pause at the new hides. Bring snacks and drinks as we shall take a short break, with refreshments and toilets available at the visitor centre to finish. Please do consider car sharing as the car park can fill quickly on a nice day, and this is Easter weekend.
We start our walks at 10.00am unless stated. Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand if you can. The duration of a walk includes time for drink and lunch breaks. Please ensure that you bring sufficient water, drinks and food (picnic lunch) to sustain you during the walks. Walk leaders will explain stops for drinks and lunch at the start of a walk.
Do consider the length of a walk, the weather and likely ground conditions to ensure you are fit enough and have appropriate footwear and clothing. If in doubt, contact the walk leader for advice.
Leaders make every effort to ensure your safety, but we expect members and guests to take care to minimise the risk of accidents.
All “Registered Assistance Dogs” are welcome on the walks with their owner. Please contact the walk leader.
