Overview

Something different - it looks like the Hythe Ferry is lost forever so planning will need to start working out how the England Coast Path will get between Hythe Pier and Southampton. The leader has worked out a route using existing legal routes and on this walk will try it out. Feel free to join him to test it out and comment.

Meet at Stand BC Albion Place,  Southampton to catch the No 9 Bus at 9.10 to Hythe Pier arriving at 9.49. The leader plans to be on the No 2 bus from Fair Oak Square at 7.45 which goes via East and Portswood terminating at Bella Italia at 8.50.

The walk will go via Marchwood, Eling, Totton, Redbridge, Millbrook, Freemantle to Town Quay. Chance to enjoy the Xmas Market afterwards. Bring drink and picnic lunch.
