We are the Vale of Glamorgan Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We follow the coast path to Porthkerry where we will stop for coffee.
Walkers who wish to do a shorter walk can join us at Porthkerry at 11am, however there is a parking charge. Please let one of us know if you intend to meet us at Porthkerry.
We then make our way to Cold Knap with a climb up the golden steps to reach glorious views over the Bristol Channel, the tide is in our favour to cross the Old Harbour to Barry Island where we will stop for lunch close to the Western shelter where we will have the opportunity to enjoy a Gelato ice Cream which is freshly made daily at Zio's gelateria.
We return across the Old Harbour to the Knap, through Romilly park to drop into Porthkerry where walkers taking shorter option can return to their cars.
Onward to Porthkerry Church and return to Rhoose station.
