An attractive walk around the Idle Valley Nature Reserve.

This walk takes us around a lake, along part of the River Idle and back through  small wood.

All off road and flat.

Dogs welcome on short leads.

The usual coffee and lunch breaks so please bring your own refreshments. There is a cafe and the end of walk.

There is not much shade  and some paths could be weedy.  Boots recommended.

Please note there is a voluntary donation of £3 at the carpark.

Idle Valley Nature Reserve Car Park North of Retford DN22 8RQ. From Collingham 25.3mls Take A1133 then A1 to Retford. From Retford follow the ring road past Morrisons on the right. At the next roundabout, Hallcroft Road take the A638 signposted Bawtry. A couple of miles up this road the Reserve is brown signposted on the right.
