Easy, level walking. Starts and finishes at The Scottish Parliament. Follows Queen's Drive to beginning of Innocent Railway. Stop in Tunnel Gallery to view artwork. Continuing towards Duddingston Road West's crossing of the Braid Burn to view original engineering works. On to Craigmillar Castle for view of exterior. Return around the base of Arthur's Seat via St. Margaret's Loch to the Parliament. Meal on return bus journey. Details to follow.
Following a recent recce I am going to have to change the route of this walk slightly as Duddingston Low Road and pavement are closed and are to be closed for the foreseeable future.
This leaves us with no option but to climb a flight of steps to return to our original route. We will take this very slowly and in stages. No - one will be hurried and everyone will be able to do it at their own pace.
Otherwise the route is the same as before.
