Overview

Join us for our final summer evening walk of the year!

We recommend you sign up for this walk on meetup below, though this is optional.

This is one of Beth's favourite walks that repeats annually, so you may well have been on this before, but it is particularly lovely in the evening.

An oldie but a goldie, come and see Ivinghoe Beacon at sunset!

We will meet at the main carpark at 6.30pm and first head away from the beacon through The Coombe woods, before circling back through atmospheric tree-lined avenues towards the beacon. We'll then pass below the ridge through open fields before making our ascent up to the ridge. Once we've conquered the ridge, we follow it gently upwards to Ivinghoe Beacon itself to admire (fingers crossed) a glorious sunset. Or peer through the clouds if my previous walks on this route have anything to go by.

No pub is planned but last year we did manage to have a spontaneous post-walk drink at the Rose and Crown in Ivinghoe so fingers crossed we can manage the same again!

This walk should be suitable for all walkers but please wear suitable shoes and wrap up warm as it can get windy at the summit.
