Overview

From the car park we will follow the road to the footpath which will take us over the railway. we will eventually arrive in Gidlow cemetery where we will have a break and perhaps find the grave of  Lawrence Isherwood, a friend of Lowry. From there we cross the main road to Sicklefield, an enclosed lane with 64 steps down.. eventually we reach the canal and the track which was once the railway and takes us back to the car park.
