Overview

For those that came on the February mudfest that was the short version of this walk here is the as promised hopefully mud free longer version! This is a lovely chalk downland walk with a few hills but the rewards are sweeping views across the gorgeous late summer landscape. We start from outside the Cafe in Kearsney Abbey (where toilets are available) before heading off across the road through Temple Ewell. Unfortunately we can't use the onsite car park as it has a 4hr restriction so parking will be on the road. There are a host of roads off Lower Road where on street parking is available and then a couple of alternative walking routes into Kearsney Abbey grounds. There will be a lunch stop probably at Alkham, so please bring packed lunch/snacks if required.
