Overview

We meet in Kearsney Abbey car park, Alkham Road, Temple Ewell, Dover CT16 3EBA.\nA varied and scenic circular walk from Temple Ewell. We climb gently through Waldershare Park, enjoying open landscapes and historic estate features, before reaching the tranquil hilltop village of Coldred—the highest point of the walk. After descending into the Lydden Valley, we return through the chalk grasslands of the Lydden Temple Ewell Nature Reserve, rich in flora and butterflies. A rewarding route with good views and historical interest.\n\nTerrain: Mainly field paths and parkland tracks with short road sections. Includes moderate inclines; may be muddy in places. Refreshments: Available at the cafe in Kearsney Park at the end of the walk. Toilets: Public toilets at the start/finish in Kearsney Abbey Gardens.
