We are the Welshpool Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The Welshpool Ramblers walk on Sunday 30th November will follow a 6 mile circular route including a stretch of the Kerry Ridgeway. Starting from the Picnic area at Block Wood we will first drop down from the Ridgeway, taking tracks passing through Medwaledd and Llethrau, before returning along the Ridgeway itself. Total ascent about 800 feet.
All are welcome, but no dogs on the walk, please (except registered assistance dogs by arrangement).
Note: If you were expecting a walk in the Church Stoke area, the confusion arises because there was a rearrangement of the printed programme such that walk was done on 24th Aug. That would logically have led to the next walk being the Abergynolwyn one from August, but that being a long was to go in uncertain November weather its been decided to repeat a more local walk that some may remember from a couple of years back.
The Picnic area at Block Wood, where the Kerry Ridgeway crosses the B4368 Anchor Road from Kerry :- Note - use the post code with caution - the meeting point is at the edge of a large area with this code.
