We are the Sandwell Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This walk explores the rolling countryside a few miles east of Stratford - upon- Avon. Starting at Kineton we soon dip into the pretty estate village of Combrook. Tucked in an hidden valley, the woodland leads to open parkland and sweeping lakes designed by Capability Brown as part of the Compton Verney Estate where the impressive restored mansion house is now an art Gallery. We walk through part of the grounds and their surrounding tree-lined meadows which were restored and Browns vision from 250 years ago can be appreciated. The walk concludes with the paths back over the hill to Kineton with Panoramic views over the Broad Vale of the Red Horse to the long Edge Hill Escarpment.
Although graded as a moderate walk it is not a challenging walk and only contains 3 stiles and a couple of very short climbs.
