From the car park we’ll get on to the King’s Cliffe Railway Path which uses the disused railway on the northern edge of the town. After exiting the railway path at its eastern end we’ll walk towards Apethorpe.
After passing through the village, we’ll turn S to Howe Wood. Turning north we’ll skirt Tomlin wood to reach the western side of King’s Cliffe at Wood Lane. We take the Railway Path back to the cars.
There are a number of styles. No dogs, other than assistance dogs, please as we may be crossing fields with livestock.
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
NOTE: The area around King’s Cliffe and Blatherwycke had numerous signs warning of adders. Please be aware and be careful where you step if you leave the path.
