We are the Berkshire Weekend Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Leaving Kintbury we head South West through Cherry Tree Copse and then south to Weavers Lane and Inkpen Green and then into Inkpen Common. We then head further East before turning North via Bergs Copse and back to Kintbury. The majority of the walk is on shaded paths. Toilet and drink stop at the Crown and Garter pub.
Long pants (trousers) are recommended. A couple of stiles and minor undulations (slightly hilly in places). No dogs please. Please bring a packed lunch and drink, as usual.
Meet for a 10:20 start at Kintbury railway station. By train from Reading, take the 09:43, which arrives at Kintbury at 10:18. By car, there is free parking at the station and at the canalside car park close by. There are also public toilets by the canal.
