Overview

Starting from the Sun Inn in the middle of Kislingbury, we'll walk through the alleyways that interconnect parts of the village leaving via  Camp Lane to enter Upton Country Park.  At the end of the Camp Lane track we'll head south towards the new commercial development outside Pineham.  We'll continue along a new road for a couple of hundred yards to reach a track that takes us alongside the Northampton Arm to Lock 14 where we will cross a bridge.  We'll then walk north along the canal towpath for about a mile before crossing some footbridges to head  towards the site of Duston Mill and then on towards Sixfields.  Just south of Sixfields we'll cross the Upton Valley Way and then head through the newish Upton Estate to Upton Hall Farm.  We will then head south along Upton Lane before picking up the diverted Nene Way to skirt the new housing development and then continue into Kislingbury via a footbridge over the River Nene.
