Overview

We’ll head out anti-clockwise to Derskelpin steading passing Dernaglar Loch and White Hill. After the first cairn it is extremely tussocky until the second cairn near Loch Robin so possibly not for the faint-hearted! Once we’ve traversed the tussocks the ascent is fairly straightforward and well worth the effort for the spectacular views from Knock Fell. The return route is much less demanding, green fields, a forest glade through Knock Moss, no tussocks and a hardcore track back to the cars.
