Overview

A leisurely walk on towpaths, quiet lanes and a few (muddy) fields.

This is basically the same as the walk offered on 23rd December - just reversed - for anyone who wants a Tuesday short walk to walk off a mince pie or two.

The fords on Ravenshaw Lane and Henwood Lane were both completely impassable as of 19th December, so rather than a full circle this is more of a figure of 8 where we retrace our steps for just under a kilometer of canal to stay out of the floods.

We head out from Jacobean Lane, take the canal to Henwood Lane Bridge, take the field path to Ravenshaw Lane (North of the flooded bit) circle back via Berry Hall Lane, take the towpath back to the M42, then through fields back to Knowle.  A walk through the suburbs to admire Christmas wreaths, then a field path back to a fresh stretch of towpath to bring us back again to Jacobean Lane.
