Our walk route follows the Lambourn Valley Way, through the pretty villages of Weston, Great Shefford, East Garston and Eastbury, passing six historic churches. Possible afternoon pub stop at the Queens Arms in East Garston.

This is a Linear all-day walk which starts with a bus ride from Lambourn to Boxford. Our walk is then from Boxford back to Lambourn.
Meet at the Market Square bus stop (in front of the church on the B4001 Oxford St) in Lambourn at 9:30 am ready to catch the 9:40 bus to Boxford.
Free parking in the Lambourn High Street car park on the right after Goodies Café, a 5 minute walk from the bus stop, Do allow enough time for putting on boots, or parking elsewhere if the car park is full. See below for public transport info from Newbury.
nb. if any bus problems, we can car share from Lambourn to the walk start point by Boxford village hall, a 20 mins drive.
Public transport - if travelling entirely by public transport, bus no 4 leaves Newbury Wharf at 8:55, arriving at The Bell, Boxford at 9:14. Perhaps wait in Boxford Cafe and meet the group at the bus stop at 10:10 am on our arrival from Lambourn. Text the leader before the walk please if you plan to do this. Noting that return buses from Lambourn to Newbury are infrequent.
