Overview

The walk begins and ends on forestry paths through lovely Laughton Forest . In between we visit Scotton Common Nature Reserve and Scotton village. Flat all the way. Scotton Common can be quite wet if there has been recent heavy rain so waterproof boots and dry socks for after lunch are advised. There is a short bit of roadside walking on the busy A159. Elevenses will be al fresco. Lunch in Scotton. The village pub is shut on Tuesdays, but there is a recreation area with some seats and a small amount of shelter.

Meet at the free Tuetoes Car Park on East Ferry Road about 2 miles north of Laughton village. DO NOT RELY ON THE POST CODE OR SAT NAV . It may take you into the woods and not to the car park. Take the A159 from Gainsborough towards Scunthorpe. Soon after passing through Blyton take the left turn to Laughton ( brown signposted to The Ingram Arms. ) Pass the pub on your left and then turn into Morton Rd. Pass the Meynell Kindergarten then turn right into East Ferry Rd. Follow the road through the village and then keep going for about 2+ miles. You will pass an alpaca farm and Sunflower Park. The car park is then on the right.
