Overview

A pleasant walk principally along the Chesterfield Canal to Babworth Church and return. This ramble has been designated as the Jim Elvidge memorial walk at his cousin Rob's suggestion.Jim who passed away last year was an active participant in the Doncaster Ramblers  and walked with them for 25 years. He was well known for his attire consisting of a flat cap and a tie and at his funeral a flat cap was placed on his coffin! It would therefore be a nice touch if as many of the ramblers could turn up with a flat cap at least at the beginning of the walk.
