Meet Stowmarket Railway Station in time to catch 08.29 to Stratford where we change onto 09.56 to Northumberland Park (zone 3). Here we join the River Lee and follow this scenic river path back to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park via Markfield Beam Engine and Hackney Henge. An Off Peak Day Travelcard will cover the whole journey and give flexibility. Bring a picnic but toilets/drinks will be available at Markfield Park and Princess of Wales pub, Clapton. Return journey from Stratford, hourly trains 16.37, 17.37 etc.
