Overview

Rehearsal for the joint walk with London Blind Rambling Club (LBRC). This walk is so that prospective Kingston assistants to LBRC walkers can familiarise themselves with the quirks of the route. Volunteers to help guide blind ramblers are needed. However, if you just want to come for the walk, you are equally welcome. Via Cray Riverway, Five Arch Bridge, Sidcup Place (pub at lunch), Scadbury Park Nature Reserve, St Paul’s Cray Common, Petts Wood, Hawkwood, William Willett sundial, and Jubilee Country Park. The walk is broadly based on Section 2 of the London Loop. If the lavatories on Platform 2 at Bexley Station are still out of order, there is a wide range of cafes and pubs in Bexley High Street. Lunch: Sidcup Place. The Star pub and restaurant. Opt-outs throughout. Major opt-outs at Foots Cray High Street, and at lunch.
