This is a lovely walk with far reaching views across the countryside where you will be able to spot many familiar local landmarks.
Our route will take us along the tranquil canal where we may be lucky to spot some wildlife before crossing over the canal & heading up farm tracks to reach the highest point on the route. Here, we will pause to admire the views in all directions before continuing our journey across farmland to reach housing on the edge of Linlithgow. Our route is then downhill along pavement to reach the canal basin & a little further on, our start point where the walk will end.
Along the way we will discover some of Linlithgow's interesting history.
The route is along a mixture of gravel paths, farm tracks & pavement so should be dry under foot. We will be climbing uphill so you may prefer to wear walking boots for extra ankle support & a walking pole.
It is recommended that you bring a drink with you to enjoy when we stop at the highest point along the route.
Spaces are limited to 20 people so please book early to avoid disappointment.
There is a toilet within the Tesco store near the start of the walk.
