We are the Pembrokeshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Enjoy an away day in this beautiful remote picturesque area of Carmarthenshire. We meet at the reservoir dam car park and head for a Nature Reserve which follows a path along the tumbling river Towy, passing Twm Sion Cati's cave. We continue along quiet lanes and eventually follow the river Doethie before heading back along hill tracks with scenic views of the surrounding countryside.
Although this walk is not too muddy, the path through the nature reserve is rocky and slippery in places. There is also one long steady climb, which we will do in stages. Free car parking and toilets at Llyn Brianne reservoir. Sorry, not suitable for dogs.
