Explore London’s legal heart on this 6.5 mile walk through history and justice.
Starting at Embankment Tube, we’ll trace centuries of law and order — from Bow Street Magistrates’ Court to the majestic Royal Courts of Justice and the Old Bailey.
Along the way, enjoy architectural gems like Temple Church and Staple Inn, plus a stroll along Thomas More Highwalk.
Expect stories of crime, courts, and counsel in equal measure.
There will be an opportunity to join us in the Viaduct Tavern public house afterwards for a social drink to review the days fun!
We will be meeting outside the entrance to the Embankment tube station on the side of the river Thames. There are Public toilets outside the station but with a 80p contactless cost.
This is Central London, so it is not dog friendly.
The walk will commence promptly at 1.30pm, following a short briefing.
There is no need to pre-book or contact the leader in advance. If already a Ramblers member, please bring your Ramblers card (or membership details on the app) as we submit a register to Ramblers before we start the walk. Non-members are allowed to come on up to three walks before joining.
