Starting from the Timberlodge Brewstreet Cafe in the Olympic Park, we will pass the Olympic Stadium on our left to pick up the River Lea Navigation Channel and then the Greenway, a loop taking in the View Tube, Abbey Mills Pumping Station and 3Mills Film Studios, the host of the original Big Brother House. After rejoining the River Lea we will head towards the Limehouse Cut and onto the Limehouse Basin. From here we will pick up the Thames Path and then divert to the Ornamental Canal, one of London's hidden treasures. The Canal starts in the Shadwell Basin and finishes in Wapping. From here we will continue on to St Katherine's Dock, where we will finish our walk just short of Tower Bridge. Everyone is welcome to enjoy refreshments at the 3-storey, Alpine chalet-style Dickens Inn.
There is no need to pre-book or contact the leader in advance. If already a Ramblers member, please bring your Ramblers card (or membership details on the app) as we submit a register to Ramblers before we start the walk. Totally new members are allowed to come on up to three walks before joining.
