Overview

Catch the 08:41 train from Ashford to Richmond. Change onto the Overground to Willesden Junction and change again for the train to Harrow & Wealdstone arriving at 10:00. then catch the 258 bus to Common Road. This is a seven mile walk via Bentley Priory(Al Fresco coffee stop), Stanmore Common, the A411(passing Aldenham Reservoir), Radlett Park Golf Club and Borehamwood where we will have a pub/picnic lunch. There are also cafes available. After lunch there is a climb out of Borehamwood to the A411 again and then we go through Scratch Wood and Scratchwood Open Space to the A1 Barnet Way to get a bus back to Borehamwood. Thameslink train to West Hampstead Thameslink, short walk to West Hampstead Overground for a train to Richmond.
