Starting in Leafield, we will explore the ancient Forest of Wychwood and the villages of Ascott-under Wychwood, Finstock and Ramsden. We will walk on the Wychwood Way, the Oxfordshire Way and even part of Akeman Street. Whatever the route, there will be plenty of mud !
There are some hills and the walk is quite a strenuous due to its length and the conditions.
Please arrive circa 15 minutes early to be ready for a prompt start at 10am
Strong walking boots are essential. Please wear suitable clothing...we might need sun cream !
Walking poles are recommended to negotiate the mud.
Bring a packed lunch and plenty of drinks.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
