We are the Sheffield 40s Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Walking through the Longshaw estate and down to Grindleford through Padley Gorge then through Rough Wood, into Hathersage and up to the church. Then working our way up to Dennis Knoll via Greens House, up on to Stanage Edge and back to Longshaw along the edge and Higger Tour.
A mixture of terrain, Padley Gorge can/will be slippery and steep in places. May reverse the direction of the walk if windy to try and keep the wind behind us if possible.
Sign-Up: Please text the walk leader your name(s), and stating if not Ramblers member(s) by 8.00 pm the day before.
Please note that the estimated finish time is a guide only. Our return will depend on the group's pace and weather conditions on the day.
Dog must be on a lead, there can be sheep and cattle around Higger Tour.
Meet by the picnic tables on the grass in front of Longshaw National Trust Tea Room Picnic tables in front of the Longshaw Café. Toilet facilities (and takeaway coffee, if early!) Parking available on the roadside near fox house or the National trust car park that is free for NT members, £8 for non members. It can be busy so allow time to find a parking space. If parking by the Fox House allow time to walk to the start point – about a 10mins walk.
