Overview

A debut walk with Jayne Following roughly Amber Valley Routeways No. 8. going via Pentrich on to Butterley Reservoir then upwards to Crossley Park for morning break. Ripley to Upper Hartshay then Bridle lane and canal path to finish.

Notes and Risk Assessment. 
Only a little bit of mud, using lanes and urban footpaths with some road walking.

Take care, Several road crossings, good sight lines, but traffic can be fast.
One stile which is avoidable. some paths may be slippery if wet. On roads with no footways, keep right and face oncoming traffic.
