This walk takes in some of the lovely views and villages of the Cherwell Valley (Lower Heyford, Upper Heyford, Middle Aston, Steeple Aston). We also walk past the perimeter of a former US airbase, and Rousham House.
This is an exposed walk, with considerable undergrowth so please come dressed for the weather: if raining, wet weather gear; if sunny, sunglasses, hats and plenty of suncream!
Walking boots/walking shoes essential. Long trousers advised (possible nettles, brambles etc)
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink.
Dogs on leads welcome (note that the walk has several stiles).
Please note: we encourage car sharing to our walks but for personal safety do not arrange this for you.
Meet outside The Bell Inn (Market Square), in Lower Heyford. Limited parking available on square and in the surrounding streets so *please car share* where possible. (Lower Heyford is on the Oxford-Banbury trainline, so check times and if you are coming by train, join us at the start point above)
