From Lee Dingle we climb to the top of Lloyd's Coppice via an old wynd, to follow the rim of the gorge through woodland to Ironbridge. We stay on the rim of the gorge to reach Coalbrookdale where we drop to Rough Park Way to cross the railway line. Here we follow woodland paths past Little Dawley and Dawley Pools to reach the town park nature reserve. We then follow parts of the Silkin Way to reach Madeley Court's pools and medieval manor, dropping through town before re-joining the Silkin Way back to Lee Dingle, passing the historic brew pub The All Nations.
A moderately graded walk taken at a leisurely pace on predominantly good paths, quiet lanes and tracks but it’s likely to be muddy! A couple of stiles and some steps.
PLEASE NOTE This walk may be suitable for dogs but there are stiles on the route which would need them to be lifted over.
Please come prepared for the walk, with water, drinks, snacks and lunch as appropriate as it is not possible to purchase items on route.
Good walking boots/shoes are essential and be prepared for wet or sunny weather- possibly both!
