We are the South Birmingham Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We will be walking on the Worcester side of the hills overlooking the Cotswolds, and along woodland paths. There are some gentle inclines but nothing too strenuous. Just after half way we will stop at British camp where there is a cafe and toilets. Our return will be over the hills with stunning views both sides of Wales and Worcestershire. Again some inclines, but not too strenuous and no stiles either way. It is very dry at the moment and can be a bit stony and slippery underfoot. Walking poles are recommended. There are plenty of places to lunch if you want to make a day of it.
To reach Malvern, takes about 50 mins from South Birmingham, come down the M5 and get off at Junction 7 and follow the signs for Malvern and A449.
Start: Parking is on Jubilee drive. As you come through the other side of Malvern on A449 Turn Right onto the B4218 to Colwall. After 1.2 miles up hill, the road will snake to the right then left. Straight after that is a turning to the left to Ledbury B4232. Drive for about 100 meters and the carpark is on your left just after the Wych Free church. Parking is 6.00 pounds. Card only Toilets are nearby
