From Castleton we ascend the paths past Trea Cliff and Blue John Cavern and up to Mam Tor an ascent of about 1000ft. We then follow the ridge passing Hollins Cross and Black Tor to Lose Hill. Descending back to Castleton via Crimea Farm, Riding House, Losehill Hall and the Study Centre into Castleton.
We normally stop for a drink after about an hour walking and we stop for lunch at about 12:30 so bring along a hot or cold drink and a packed lunch.

Parking on Buxton Road, Castleton is free (Do not park in car park). Parking on the left just after the 30mph signs. Those going direct to the start to please advise the leader in case of any late changes.
