Overview

A flat circular walk on Walton Heath, going as far as the viewpoint at Colley Hill for a superb view down on to the countryside to the south of the North Downs. The walk is on country paths so expect mud in places. No Stiles.

Late news:
-Ignore the road closed sign for Margery Lane.
- The National Trust have told Brian,  by phone, that it is ok to just leave your membership card on the dashboard.
- Boots are essential.
- there are now two fairly easy stiles. One can be avoided at present.

Public Transport - The 460 and 420 may be of help but there is then the walk down the whole of Margery Lane. By car: Suggest using KT20 7BT. From the A217 roundabout where traffic can join the M25, take the exit travelling North on the A217 to Sutton and London . Then immediately look for Margery Lane which is the first turning on the left and travel on that until you reach the car park where the road turns left. If coming South from the Sutton direction, go to the roundabout and come back the other side of the A217. There is the possibility of parking in the lane just before the car park but it is a narrow lane. The Car Park is National Trust. Bring your NT Membership card, or pay for parking. In order to park you must now all ensure your smartphone has downloaded the Just Park App. Non-members can use it to pay for parking and NT members must use it to record their status.
