Join us for a lovely walk around the estate of ' Mad' Jack Fuller where in the early 1800s he ' beutified ' his Rose Hill estate with a series of follies. We start at Burwash and then head down towards Rudyard Kipling's house at Batemans. We then start to tick off the follies with the Obelisk, followed by the Observatory. We will stop for a picnic lunch after climbing towards Woods Corner and maybe a quick pint The Swan. Following lunch we head into Brightling Park to view the Sugar Loaf, the Rotunda Temple, the Tower and Jack Fuller's Pyramid Mausoleum. Our route back to Burwash takes us past Socknersh Manor which was the scene of wild parties in the 60's being owned by Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck. It's now owned by a Euromillions Lottery winner ! The walk has a number of hills and like much of the Weald there will be plenty of mud. Total ascent 1500 ft
