We are the West Kent Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start at Hadlow College and head north towards Oxenhoath up to the first high point of the walk and join the Wealdway for fine views south. We then head due east through the picturesque West Peckham before ascending again to East Peckham church. We then descend down to Roydon Hall via a detour to see the ruins of the grand entrance gates of Mereworth Castle. Our return route to Hadlow is much flatter as we traverse the orchards of the Medway Valley. Look out for Hadlow Tower to guide us home!
We will be having a picnic lunch en route so please bring suitable snacks. Don't overdo it as there will be Easter goodies for all those attending!
There is a public car park next to Broadview Gardens. Please drive into Hadlow College and look for the parking on the left hand side.
