We are the West Kent Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Walk off all that Christmas food with a lovely 9.5 mile walk. Starting from the village green in Matfiled we head west and then north to Capel. We make a stop at St Thomas a Becket and it's famous 13th century wall paintings and a short walk to Kent College near Pembury. Our return to Matfield takes us through the orchards of Pippins farm and back up to Matfield. Lunch will be a brief picnic stop enroute but a beer in the pub afterwards is always an option.
Park in the parking area adjacent to the village green ( TN12 7LA ) If this is busy the Village Hall is only a 3 min walk away ( TN12 7LW ) and this also has free parking
