Distances are over 10 miles.

Please note, this walk replaces the Buxton to Whaley Bridge walk advertised in the programme.

Meeting time & place: 

09:20 at Piccadilly station to catch the 09.31 train to Marple. The leader will meet the party at Marple.

Start time & place: 

At Marple station after the arrival of the train from Manchester Piccadilly, due at 09.52.

Estimated finish time & place: 

Marple station no later than 15.30 in time for the return train to Manchester due at 16.09. The next return train is at 18.10. There are also buses from Marple to Stockport at half hourly intervals.

Note: walkers are advised to check one of the rail websites such as nationalrail or trainline close to the departure time in case of late changes to the running of the train.

Train ticket - return to Marple (no ticket required if you have a GM concessionary travel card).

Car parking is available at Marple station..
