From Plaitford we will weave our way along mainly good solid tracks and quiet lanes past farmland and through woods. Our coffee stop will be at the imposing Melchet Court so bring refreshments. The walk is fairly gentle and there are no stiles. The area is fairly well drained and so not a great deal of mud on these tracks.
The car park at the Plaitford Village Hall is free and very large. There is a 2 meter height restriction. If required, please let the leader know in advance and the code for the barrier can be provided.
It is on the X7 bus route from Romsey to Salisbury but unfortunately this is a very limited service and times not appropriate.
Please bring your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card with you.
There are some pubs nearby for lunch afterwards.

Plaitford Village Hall Car Park. Take the A36 from Ower and after about 4 miles, Plaitford Village Hall is on the right hand side.
