A 12-mile walk from Melton Mowbray following the River Wreake. We will pass through Kirby Bellars, Asfordby, Frisby Lakes before stopping for lunch at Frisby village. We will then make our way back to Melton Mowbray. This is a fairly flat route, but the walk may take 5+ hours so we'll start at 10:00 am to get back to Melton by 3pm-4pm.
Please note that this walk is limited to 30 walkers. Please sign up on Meetup, or contact us to request a place.
There is a pub in Frisby, near our lunch stop, where there will be time to buy drinks, but please bring your own lunch.
Dog are welcome, but there will be a lot of livestock so they may need to be on a lead for the majority of the walk. There are some high stiles of note which may involve picking dogs up. At the start we will have to follow the pavement of the main road for 10 minutes before we get to the public footpaths.
Please park and in the Wilton Road Carpark, opposite Wetherspoons pub. Parking is free on Sundays.
