An undulating walk along part of the Otter Vale with glimpses of a priory past. Steep bridleways follow, with field paths and narrow, meandering sunken lanes up to the clayland plateau. After a picnic stop in Metfield village we return down the valley along quiet lanes and tracks.
Two stiles have been replaced with gates - good. The fields may have been ploughed and not reinstated - problematic. We can use field edges, slightly further.
Picnic lunch
We have a no dogs policy, but registered assistance dogs are welcome by arrangement with the walk leader.
