Starting from the old station car park off Linton road , there is a bus route from Leeds to Wetherby. A moderate fast paced circular walk from Wetherby, through Collingham-Linton-Woodhall-Sicklinghall-Stockeld Park- to Wetherby. Primary over tracks , (that can get v muddy if it rains).Approximately 10miles.
The walk takes in the lower Wharfe Valley, the pretty villages and back ginnels of Collingham and Linton , the gentle rolling countryside of the lower Wharfedale valley, as we head to the highest point at the top of Woodhall and Sicklinghall, where a lunch break can take place, before walking through Sockheld park, across the main road through to the old railway line along the shared cycle route back to Wetherby. Toilets available Wetherby town centre. Public house Scott’s Arms in Sicklinghall. There may be a few stile to navigate.
