Overview

Start @ 10:30 at Priory Car Park, Carisbrooke. A walk of 2 halves: The "town" bit is all pavements & concrete to and around Newport, with a stop in Pan Meadows to enjoy a packed lunch. The "Country" bit, through Blackwater & Gatcombe, is cycle & foot paths. There are a few short sections along fast-moving roads. There is an option to stop at the lunch break (after 4 miles) in Newport & take a (self guided) short cut back to the car park. Bring a packed lunch
